First, we loved everything except for the guided tour. I think it was a waste of money. We drove around for two hours trying to look for live wild animals. The tour guide Patrick emphasized so much on that throughout the ride. Secondly, there was nothing to do but just sit in the bus and look at buildings so far away. It was totally ridiculous. At the Atlantis was the best with the virtual reality ride and slides for kids including up close and personal of Atlantis Shuttle.

I've always loved space and space missions etc but I have never had the chance to see any launches or space centers. So I had to go to Orlando for a trade show and went to Kennedy It was one of the best days in my life. That morning from Cocoa Beach I watched the launch around 7am. Then one the start of the tour we followed a rocket booster going to pad and got to see a rocket horizontal on the pad!! For launch the next day.

The ability to be so close to the real Shuttle Atlantis and the Saturn V rocket was amazing. The presentation of both vehicles was extremely moving. We also enjoyed the Explore tour around the site and the opporunity to be so close to the launch pads of such historic importance. We can also say that we touched a piece of the moon!

It was a dream-come-true moment in my 50s. Having always marveled at the technological advancements in the US, particularly in space, my background as a physics student fueled my wonder. I was filled with excitement as I witnessed these remarkable technologies unfolding before me.
