My visit to the Acropolis and Parthenon was absolutely unforgettable. The ticketing process was smooth and convenient, and having the optional audio guide made a huge difference. Walking up to the Parthenon was breathtaking—the views over Athens are stunning and the atmosphere is filled with history. I enjoyed it. I've been to the Acropolis many times. The audio guide, while a little hokey at times (Maria ... really?), gave me a more coherent appreciation of the layout, history, and architecture of all the buildings on site then previous visits when I wandered on my own. I would have liked more information on the amazing feat of Manolis Glezos and Apostolos Santas tearing down the Nazi flag from the eastern end of the Acropolis, the first act of resistance to the Nazi occupation. But overall I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour..

The place was dreamlike, the application easy to use. The ticket was changed at destination without problems, only that the day and time booked did not allow the entrance due to a staff strike so they put together all the schedules in one and the place was full of additional people and it was close to noon and it was hot losing the sense of getting the ticket at 8:00 am. Luckily we were able to get in and see this marvel. I am sorry for the other people who had to travel at noon and were not allowed in.

No audio guides at the entrance to the site, and there aren't any according to the staff. Instead, a downloadable application that's incomprehensible if you don't speak English. Our only solution was to translate the texts on the explanatory panels using Google. So we paid for an audioguide for nothing!

I enjoyed the seeing the acropolis but was unable to make use of the audio as I was unable to access the ticket on my phone and ended up having to pay for entry again. I chatted with your representative but unfortunately it was too late by the time it was resolved

The buildings were obviously fantastic, but the views down into the city were impressive too. We went first thing in the morning and the changing light made the buildings feel alive.

We start at about 11 am at Maine entrance, crowd huge, but managble. I wish I know there is east entrance, where voice narrative starts.

Please note that the Athens city audio tour is not available in Chinese.

To get to the Acropolis, take Metro Line 2 and exit at Acropolis station. Walk along Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, and you’ll see the Theatre of Dionysus on your right.

After booking, you’ll receive an email with instructions for accessing your ticket and audio tour. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder.

Be sure to download your ticket and audio tour using Wi-Fi before your visit, as the mobile signal on Acropolis Hill can be weak or unreliable.

The audio tour works on Android (5.0 or later) and iOS smartphones with 100-150 MB of free space. It is not compatible with Windows Phones, iPhone 5/5C or older, iPod Touch 5th gen or older, iPad 4th gen, or iPad Mini 1st gen.
