The site itself is stunning and well worth a visit. It’s a great history lesson. However, the admission fee—not including parking—seems excessive. For two people, you’ll have to pay over €100 for parking and the tour with an audio guide. That’s expensive, especially since all the other sites charge admission as well.

It was super easy with the online ticket! I arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time and everything went smoothly. I made sure to download the Clio Muse Tour app with the audio guide. It was only in English, though, but it worked great :) I highly recommend it!

I was able to actually climb the ancient Acropolis of Athens and learn a great deal about its history. The weather was perfect, and I had a truly wonderful day. The audio guide was very helpful and guided us effectively throughout the visit.

We got a major workout in going up to the Parthenon . It was interesting to watch the crews working on the roof area . We went to the museum after and really enjoyed seeing the old Frieze tiles. The photo was taken from our hotel Rooftop

The weather did not help us today as the elevator was closed due to the wind. I tried to climb the hill but I just couldn't. What we did see was awesome. We did this in con-junction with the museum. It was a great day.

We booked the 9 a.m. time slot on a Monday. It was already a bit crowded, but that didn’t spoil our visit. I recommend booking a time slot before 10 or 11 a.m., around lunchtime, or late in the day. We were lucky that the temperature wasn’t too high, which allowed us to enjoy the various monuments.

To get to the Acropolis, take Metro Line 2 and exit at Acropolis station. Walk along Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, and you’ll see the Theatre of Dionysus on your right.

After booking, you’ll receive an email with instructions for accessing your ticket and audio tour. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder.

Be sure to download your ticket and audio tour using Wi-Fi before your visit, as the mobile signal on Acropolis Hill can be weak or unreliable.

The audio tour works on Android (5.0 or later) and iOS smartphones with 100-150 MB of free space. It is not compatible with Windows Phones, iPhone 5/5C or older, iPod Touch 5th gen or older, iPad 4th gen, or iPad Mini 1st gen.
