It was an easy process from the meet up near the palace to the tour itself. I also appreciated that the tour gave quite a lot of time for just seeing things on my own. It was the perfect mix of being led and venturing out alone. I would definitely book this tour again and recommend it to friends and family.

Extremely disappointed. The guide assured me that I would receive a refund for the child’s ticket—which I paid for as an adult—for admission to Topkapi Palace. I contacted customer service, but Headout denied my request! The reason they gave wasn’t explained at the time of booking, and I consider this a huge rip-off. I couldn’t change the 4-star rating—otherwise, I would have given it zero!

Our arrival at and entry to Topkapi Palace went according to plan. There was a meeting point about 200 m from the entrance. There, we were able to buy tickets to the harem. Entry to the palace went smoothly. We had received the audio guide the day before.

Our tour guide, Buse, had an extraordinary amount of knowledge to share with us. And she did so with such enthusiasm that it was truly contagious. This tour comes highly recommended, especially the visit to the harem, which you definitely shouldn't miss.

The tour was well organized and very informative. We should have stayed much longer to enjoy the site and walk through all of the exhibits, but the kids and grandparents got tired. Still would highly recommended for all ages.

Note that you will be able to enter the Topkapi Palace only with a representative. Meet your host at the meeting point, who will then take you inside the palace.

Be sure to arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before your scheduled entry time.
