Head directly to the historic teahouse located within Tokyo National Museum at your booked time. Check in with your reservation details, then move to your seat as staff prepare the space for your 2-hour teahouse dining and matcha session. Admission to the Tokyo National Museum is not included and must be arranged separately.

Step into a historic teahouse setting inside Tokyo National Museum for an intimate food and tea experience. Over 2 hours, you follow a simple flow from seated dining to matcha-making and sweets.

Features

• Edo dining in Oju boxes, soup, tea, traditional sweets
  Your meal is served as an Edo dining course in Oju tableware, which are multi-tiered food boxes that present different dishes across the layers. Alongside this, you receive soup and hot or cold tea plus traditional sweets that complete the course-style service.

• Hands-on matcha-making with guidance
  A hands-on casual matcha-making session is included, where you whisk your own bowl of matcha with guidance rather than just watching a demonstration. This lets you experience the steps behind Japanese tea preparation before you drink the matcha you have made.

• Premium dining course and kimono or yukata rental options
  If you select the 2-Hour Teahouse Dining and Matcha + Premium Dining and Kimono/Yukata option, a premium dining course is included instead of the standard meal, and kimono or yukata rental is also included. With either variant, Edo dining in Oju boxes, soup, tea, traditional sweets and hands-on matcha-making with guidance are part of your experience.

• Museum admission handled separately
  Entry to Tokyo National Museum is not included in either variant and costs ¥1,000 per guest, which must be paid separately if you plan to explore the museum before or after your teahouse session. Additional drinks and transportation to and from the venue are not part of the experience.
