Porto for first-timers

We enjoyed the tour of the streets of Porto. 2 downsides: the music between the comments was annoying and on the blue line the whole left side of the bus didn't work (for headphones).

The beautiful deco and book displays, the bustling atmosphere. The winding stairs to the upper floor were intriguing and knowing that my favourite Harry Potter books were waiting for me was exciting.

Alex our guide made the tour so interesting, relaxing. He saw everyone in the group. His English was so clear and soft to listen to.

First time doing a boat trip on the Douro and honestly, it was BEYOND my hopes. Our captain (think his name was Pedro?) had the chillest vibes and even let my son steer for a bit (don’t worry, just for a minute!). Weather was just warm enough, not too hot. We brought our own snacks, which was allowed as long as you tidy up after. I went with my mum and 9 yr old, both totally loved it. Water looked like glass. One tiny thing—couldn’t take pics inside the captain’s cabin, but plenty of spots for photos outside. Would 100% do it again, but maybe next time at sunset.
