  • What to bring

    • At the time of collecting a paper subway ticket, you will need a QR code issued after the reservation is completed. Please bring a device that can display the QR code or print out the QR code.

    What's not allowed

    • Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography is a no-go inside the venue.

    • Photography may not be allowed for some exhibitions and artworks.

    • Keep in mind food & beverages are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!

    • This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

    Additional information

    • Facilities: nursing rooms, coin lockers, first-aid station, multi-purpose toilets, and loan wheelchairs/baby strollers.

    • As a rule, please visit on the date specified at the time of reservation. The museum may be closed for extended periods due to exhibition changes or other reasons.

    • Admission to the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo is free for high school students and younger, those aged 65 and older, and those with a disability certificate (including up to one accompanying person). Please present a student ID, health insurance card, driver’s license, or other proof of age, or a disability certificate.

    • Please note that the museum is closed on Mondays, exhibition replacement periods, and on New Year's day.

    • The exchanged subway ticket will be valid for 6 months from the exchange date.

    • The valid time will be printed on the subway ticket when you start using it to pass a ticket gate. If you enter the station and board the train within the valid time, you can still leave the station even if the valid time has passed.

    • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

    • Please display the same at each ticket redemption point along with a valid photo ID. Students must show a valid ID.
