An incredible and highly recommended experience. We took a pirate boat excursion around Tenerife to see dolphins and pilot whales in their natural habitat, and it exceeded our expectations. The crew was very friendly, attentive, and professional. You can tell they love what they do: they were constantly looking out for the passengers, explaining, sharing information, and helping out whenever necessary. During the excursion, we were able to see turtles, pilot whales, and dolphins in the wild, which was truly exciting. Plus, we had the chance to stop for a swim in the sea and jump into the water, making the experience even more complete. We also really appreciated the nice touch of having water and soft drinks available, in addition to a homemade sangria they prepared during the trip. The boat is beautiful and very well maintained despite its many years at sea, which adds even more charm to the experience. And all of this at a very affordable price, so we felt it was excellent value for money. Without a doubt, an activity we would do again and that we highly recommend if you are in Tenerife and want to enjoy the sea and marine life in a special way.

A fantastic, rough sea trip to spot whales and dolphins. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales. We did see a dolphin, two orcas, and two sea turtles. The crew showed a great deal of respect for the animals. We thought it was an experience worth repeating.

We loved the experience and the crew was lovely! The only hiccup was when we showed our reservation and they only had us booked for 1 person instead of 4 and we had to wait til the end of the line to get on the boat.

The pirate ship is the perfect way to set out and discover the wonders of the ocean. The crew members were fantastic—always helpful and very friendly! Their explanations of what we were seeing and what to look for next were always very detailed and interesting. We got to watch the whales swimming peacefully, and one even came very close to the boat while resting. It was truly thrilling! The best experience of our trip to Tenerife—definitely worth doing again and highly recommended!

Very friendly crew, informative commentary, and we saw dolphins and whales. But unfortunately, at 10 o'clock, the dolphins were still asleep :-)

Set sail from Los Cristianos on a 2 hour cruise that combines whale and dolphin watching with lunch on board and, on some options, a swim and snorkeling stop in the Atlantic.

Getting started

Make your way to Los Cristianos Port a little early, following the meeting point shared on your voucher. Your crew will validate your booking at the designated pier and guide you onto your boat. You’ll board a pirate-themed vessel with lots of character. Once everyone is on board, the crew will run through safety information and simple wildlife-watching guidelines before casting off.

As you leave the harbour, you’ll follow Tenerife’s southern coastline into open waters where resident pilot whales and several dolphin species are frequently seen year-round.
