CoupleVerified bookingMay 20265/5It's a great way to visit the monuments. At first, we had a little trouble figuring out how to use the multi-pass, but everything worked out in the end.GGunter F
CoupleVerified bookingMay 20263/5The basic idea is great, and I think it’s awesome that the audio guide works on your phone. - You needed three different apps to get the full experience - The audio guide drained the battery really fast on Android - The audio guide wouldn’t keep playing on Android; you had to manually reactivate it every time. It worked fine on iOS - Activating the individual tickets was complicated and sometimes didn’t work. - Not everything was handled through the app, so you had to go to the ticket booth and use the app to get the physical ticket - The hop-on bus was fully booked before you could even book it. Right from the first minute of using the app - On the tour to Cape Sounion, there were only error messages despite there being available seats.EEva F
CoupleVerified bookingApr 20263/5The system for getting tickets is very complicated. The ones for the Acropolis were sent by email; the others had to be booked in advance via the app; and for the stadium ticket, all I had to do was show my passport at the ticket counter on site. For the tickets that had to be booked via the app, the app didn’t work, so I had to call the hotline. They were generally quite helpful, but you can’t afford to be in a rush. The translation quality in the audio guide was pretty poor, but to be fair, it did provide some entertainment for us. Price-wise, I consider it acceptable.
A temple for one of the oldest gods
Dedicated to the chief of the mighty Olympian Gods, the Temple of Olympian Zeus was envisaged to be the greatest temple in the ancient world at the onset of its construction in the 6th century BC. However, the world did not see the structure in all its glory till the construction was completed around 638 years later by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD. With 104 towering columns and two colossal statues (one of Zeus and one of Hadrian himself), the temple was the largest in the country.

Alas, its days of glory were short-lived. In the 3rd century AD, the temple was pillaged by barbarians. After this, it fell into disuse and was possibly never repaired. Even as a ruin, the temple is a sight to behold and is one of Athens' most important archaeological sites. Explore the site at your own pace, as you try to envision how magnificent the temple would have been with all its columns and statues. The multilingual audio guide delves into the temple's history and its influence on later architecture and art, highlighting its enduring influence.
