TeamLabs was an absolute highlight for my family and I. Visually stunning and unlike anything we've been to before, my young kids got to experience art in a totally new and captivating way. The Skip The Line option was perfect for us with just one day to explore Tokyo, saved a very long queue during cherry blossom festival week.

The whole experience was wonderful. Leave at least 2-3 hours for the experience. Take your time, don't feel that you have to rush. Some of the displays get better with time, as you start to notice smaller details. It was the highlight of my trip!

Wonderfully done! From the flower projection and the animal projection to the custom-drawn projection. Everything was great! Beautiful colors, accompanied by soothing music! I really enjoyed it!

A great experience—I highly recommend it. The "drawing + projection + custom creation" activity—a wonderful souvenir to take home with us ☺️

So we bought these tickets with the only seller available, so the phrasing of "what made your visit with Headout special?" has been addressed to a captive audience. As for teamLab: Planets, the many rude and unruley tourists really made the experience challenging. The Americans were pushy and rude. The Europeans were in a rush. The South Asians had no concept of personal space or public decorum. It really felt like the worst of humanity was on display, and thus the real attraction. Perhaps fewer people overall would have allowed us to actually appreciate the exhibits, but that would cut into profit potential I suppose. What a sad, commercial mess.

This museum alone would be worth the trip to Tokyo. The interactive art installations—such as the crystal world in water, the balls, and the orchid garden—are wonderfully thought-provoking; they put you in a good mood, and you leave the museum feeling like a better person. The interactive forest (playground) is great for kids. For us (two adults), it was a bit too brightly colored. But that’s okay. The visit was well worth it.

  • Arrive with your skip-the-line ticket and head straight in—no waiting around. You’ll remove your shoes before entering and start exploring a space that blends light, water, and motion in unexpected ways. Each room is different, and you’ll move through them at your own pace.

    What to expect

Walk barefoot through water as digital koi swim around your feet. Move through mirrored rooms with hanging lights and navigate spaces where walls and floors react to your movement. Don’t miss Floating in the Falling Universe of Flowers, where petals fall around you as you walk. Some areas are dark, others have knee-deep water, and you’ll need to stay aware of your surroundings. You won’t follow a fixed path—just explore freely until you're done.
