We invited our friends to a surprise visit to teamLab Phenomenon, as a birthday present - Both out of curiosity and knowing that it was gonna be pretty cool. Having purchased tickets through Headout, we got a really good deal and they were very flexible. So, we headed out to teamLab on the day and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. It was totally immersive in the most unique ways. After the first room, which was an interesting 'appetiser', kind of like a giant digital forest, we went into the second, which was Absolutely Mind-Blowing. There was this gigantic ultra-black spherical void floating gently in the middle of a red space - it was just a riveting, almost existential experience. Words can't describe the sensation, truly one-of-a-kind. I was hooked from that moment. After that, we wound our way through a slew of other captivating and stimulating spaces - and I don't want to spoil it - but it's well worth the visit. It really does reaffirm my belief that experiences are more valuable than objects when it comes to sharing something meaningful with friends.
