GroupVerified bookingLast week5/5The tickets and audio guide access arrived a day in advance. Downloading them for everyone in our booking worked smoothly. Unfortunately, the written guide did not work. We arrived a good two hours early. We got through admission in fifteen minutes. We didn't have to show any IDs. If your clothing is too revealing, free shawls are handed out. Going into the cathedral early was no problem at all. We were also able to visit the dome earlier than scheduled. Good to know: dome access for reserved tickets is inside the cathedral itself on the right-hand side just before the exit (not by the restrooms as the signs indicate). There was no time limit for the dome. You can also head back into the cathedral afterward. A truly impressive experience!JJutta H
CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5Our guide stepped in as a substitute and the tour started late, which wasn't his fault. He made the tour interesting and very entertaining with his profound knowledge. We were blown away by the size and splendor of St. Peter's Basilica. Unfortunately, our group couldn't visit the dome because it was closed for the entire midday period. The guide recommended that we claim a partial refund from the provider—so far without success.KKevin C
CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5Booked this simply because we were planning to see Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel earlier in the day & had a meal planned nearby early evening...glad we booked the dome & elevator. Loved it. Spectacular views of Tome from the top of the cupola and of the altar and basilica from the internal walkway. The most unexpected treat in Roma so far.SSabrina D
CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5An extraordinary guide, Pierre, who in perfect French left a lifelong mark on us through this tour and his explanations, his stories, and the history and architecture associated with religion. Our visits to other Roman churches were different thanks to him. Thank you.SSamantha M
SoloVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5I loved being able to download the guide on my phone and use my own headphones. The emails and links made it really simple to accomplish, and purchasing in advance and skipping the long lines gave me more time to enjoy the Basilica. And don't miss the Done! Quite the view up there.
