Visiting the São Jorge Castle was a great history lesson about Portugal. The castle, situated high atop the hill, provides an amazing vantage point of the city of Lisboa. Purchasing our tickets via Headout allowed us to skip the long ticket queue at the castle entrance. However, we purchased the option that came with the audio guide (€23) and the audio guide is actually free for all via a QR code available upon entering through the turnstiles, so we could have saved €6. Headout, should update this option so others are not frustrated.

The castle was very nice. It had some great views. Ticket redemption process was not as smooth as it should have been. There were others having the same issues. Tickets were not coming up. On our devices. When they did only one ticket would show and the others did not show. Had to use the email to redeem the tickets. Staff at the location was not helpful. It was a very nice experience once we got in.

The castle and experience is pretty amazing. Fantastic views, well maintained grounds and plenty of open space. This was a great experience for the ticket price, and pre-booking made entry an absolute breeze. We both enjoyed everything about the day and we re-visit on our next trip to Lisbon. Cannot recommend this enough to all.

I bought 2 tickets and two audio guides. The person at the entrance asked me to wait like the others and the cashier asked me why I had waited... As for the audio guide you sold me for €4 each, it's free at the château entrance. Your concern for my opinion and your desire to improve your services have convinced me that you will refund my money. You have my e-mail address to get back to me. Thank you for your commercial sense. Otherwise, the tour is very interesting.

This is a great castle- large in scale, and one that you can walk everywhere. You can truly imagine being in a siege of the castle. The audio guide is actually interesting! Great tour

We enjoyed our visit!! Incredible views of the city! Lots to see! Only drawback for me was that I paid an extra 3 euros per person for the audio guide and it was not worth it. You can use the free one on the grounds. But I definitely recommend visiting if you are in Lisbon!
