Last week

A place worth visiting, an immersion into the history of Europe, and a dive into the architectural beauty of a unique site. Mrs. Margot was a guiding light; she enlightened us and meticulously explained every detail. Besides giving us a history of the Habsburgs and Sisi, she provided important information about the history of the site, starting from the very first stones laid in the building. I think the added value of the visit was truly Mrs. Margot.

We got there before 10 o'clock, and there were just a reasonable number of people there. An hour later, we would have ended up with a crowd. The Klimt collection is magnificent, but there are many other noteworthy paintings. We loved the Herman de Vries Lavender exhibit too. The Botanical Garden is huge and very relaxing.

Spanish Riding School Morning Exercise

Step inside the baroque Winter Riding School to observe the daily training of the Lipizzaners.

Watch young, often still dark stallions begin their schooling alongside fully trained white Lipizzaners refining advanced movements.

See loosening and strengthening exercises designed around each horse’s training level on the day.

Classical Viennese music sets the rhythm as riders and horses work through a real training session.

Upper Belvedere Palace

Explore one of Vienna’s most important museums, housed inside a former imperial palace.

Entry to the Upper Belvedere, home to Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss.

View works by Monet, Rodin, Van Gogh, and key Central European artists in the permanent collection.
