Had such a CHILL time at Skansen! Took my two boys (7 & 10) and honestly, we could’ve spent all day just watching the brown bears mess around. We packed sandwiches, found a shady spot near the old windmill, and people-watched for ages. The actors in costume were super into it – my youngest was a bit freaked out by the guy ‘churning butter’ but then he got a sample and was all smiles. Some houses were closed but didn’t ruin it for us. FYI: bring comfy shoes, it’s a LOT of walking and some hilly bits! Totally worth it tho, esp. if the sun’s out. Gonna come back for Christmas market for sure.

So Skansen is basically like stepping back in time, but with ice cream. Loved seeing the old farmhouses and chatting with the staff in old-school dresses. My partner was obsessed with the bakery (the cinnamon buns are LEGIT) but I was more about the wolves. Didn’t spot all the animals, some were hiding, but still fun. Only bummer: kinda pricey entrance and the aquarium is extra. Still, we left happy & full.

We spent 5 hours here and STILL didn’t see everything. Honestly, Skansen is like a Swedish time machine. My daughter loved the bakery (more cardamom buns please!) and my son was obsessed with the funicular ride. Staff were in character and super friendly. Only downside: maps are a bit confusing, so we got lost a couple times, but that’s kinda part of the adventure.

Spent the afternoon here with my girlfriend. Weather was perfect, so we just wandered and checked out the old houses (some had people inside, some didn’t). The glassblower was super cool – we stood there way too long just watching. Didn’t love the crowds by the playground but can’t blame the kiddos. Would go again, maybe earlier in the day to dodge the rush.
