Took my parents and my two crazy teens on the husky/reindeer/snowmobile combo and honestly, it was EPIC! The snowmobiles were a good laugh, though mum nearly bailed at the first bump. Got to cuddle some super fluffy husky pups (they were THE CUTEST, not even exaggerating). Only thing, the reindeer ride is pretty short, blink and you’ll miss it. Staff kept us topped up with hot chocolate and some weird berry cookies, which my dad kept sneaking in his pockets. If you’re big into Instagram, you can’t take pics during the rides but there’s plenty of time after. Would do again!

We loved it! Family trip with our two boys, and both were obsessed with the dogs. The puppy pen is the real highlight (prepare for kids to never want to leave). The reindeer are gentle but looked a little bored tbh. Snowmobiles were loud but fun, and the scenery is just INSANE. We waited around a bit between activities, but they had this cozy hut with a fire so we just chilled. Bring thick socks, I lost feeling in my toes for like an hour.

I went solo and it was…fine? The snowmobiling part was cool, zooming around the forest, but felt a bit rushed tbh. Got paired with another random guy, which was kinda awks. Huskies are v photogenic but you only get like one minute on the sled. Reindeer ride was even shorter lol. Good thing the guides are chatty and make you laugh. Not sure I’d tell my mates to go unless they’re REAAALLY into animals.

Meet your guide at the Snowmobile Park City Office or Safari House, check in with your booking voucher, and show your driver’s license if you plan to drive. Once ready, suit up in warm overalls, boots, gloves, a helmet, and a balaclava, then receive a safety briefing before heading into the snowy wilderness.

A half-day tour in the stunning Arctic backdrop filled with adventure as you head out on a snowmobile ride, meet the native husky at a husky farm, and visit a reindeer farm too.

Snowmobiling through the Arctic: Feel the thrill of speed as you ride a shared two-person snowmobile for a full hour. For families and non-drivers, a sledge option is available so everyone can enjoy the ride.

Meeting the reindeer: Visit a traditional reindeer farm and experience the calm beauty of Lapland’s iconic animals. Climb into a sleigh for a 500m ride pulled gently through the snow, and receive a reindeer driving license as a fun keepsake. Learn about reindeer herding practices and the close bond locals share with these Arctic animals.

Husky encounters: At an Alaskan husky farm, meet the energetic dogs whose excitement is contagious. After introductions, set off on a 500m husky-pulled sleigh ride with up to four guests per sled. Feel their strength as they dash through the landscape, and take time to interact with them afterward.

Warming up: Between adventures, enjoy hot berry juice and biscuits served outdoors, a simple but comforting way to warm your hands and recharge before continuing.

What to bring

A valid driver’s license (class B) is required to operate a snowmobile. The license must be original, valid, and recognizable in English. Photocopies, provisional licenses, or photos on a phone are not accepted.

Please bring your tour voucher or booking confirmation, which may be requested at check-in.

Wear warm base layers such as thermals, fleece, or wool, plus thick socks, gloves, and a hat. Winter overalls, boots, and gloves are provided on site.

Bring protective cases for your camera gear and keep it inside your jacket when not in use to prevent battery drain and condensation issues.

Sunglasses and lip balm can make a big difference in the bright snow and dry Arctic air.

Any personal medications you may need during this 6-hour outdoor program should be carried with you.

What’s not allowed

Alcohol consumption or joining the tour under the influence is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.

Guests without a valid driver’s license cannot drive a snowmobile. In such cases, they can ride as a passenger on a snowmobile or sit in a sledge, but no refund will be issued if they arrive unprepared.

Large luggage and bulky bags are not permitted, as there is no storage space during transfers or activities.

Smoking is not permitted inside vehicles, during activities, or near the animals.

Accessibility

This tour is not wheelchair accessible, as it requires walking on snowy terrain, boarding sleighs, and riding snowmobiles.

Children under 2 years old are not recommended to join for safety reasons.

Children aged 1 to 13 can ride in a sledge pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. For safety, parents are advised to sit with younger children in the sledge.

Children taller than 140 cm may ride as a snowmobile passenger at full adult price, subject to availability.

Infant seats are available upon request for transfers.

Additional information

Enjoy convenient transfers from Rovaniemi City Center, with pick-up available at the Snowmobile Park City Office (Koskikatu 8) or the Safari House (Joulumaantie 5), both scheduled at 10am.

Check your email the day before for your exact meeting time to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Arrive on time at your confirmed pick-up point, as missed departures unfortunately mean missing the safari without a refund.

Two adults share one snowmobile. If there is an odd number in the group, someone will need to share with another participant. Single driving is available for adults as a paid supplement.

Snowmobile drivers are responsible for any damages up to €950 per vehicle. You can reduce this to €150 by buying extra insurance on site for €15 before the tour starts.

The tour is guided in English to ensure smooth communication.

Activities may be adjusted depending on weather, snow conditions, or animal welfare.

Free cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before departure. No refund is offered for cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours before the start time.
