El tour es muy instructivo, y con muchísimas cosas para ver. Por suerte nuestro guía, Marco, fue muy ameno y atendiendo amablemente a las muchas preguntas formuladas. Dió muestras, además, de conocimientos profundos de la materia. En suma, excelente profesional como guía. Y el palacio, en sí, es visita obligadísima en Viena. Muy buena relación calidad/precio.

Onze gids Mario was geweldig vriendelijk en heeft ons een super mooie tour bezorgd. Hij vertelde duidelijk over het leven van keizerin Elisabeth van Oostenrijk en alles wat daar bij hoorde. 10 sterren voor gids Mario 👏

Veronika, our guide, was wonderful. She was entertaining and knowlegable. She answered all our questions. The Sisi Museum was great and the Hofburg tour was very educational. The Imperial Treassuy is amazing.

La guida Max, austriaco, ma con del vissuto in Italia, ci ha spiegato tutto per filo e per segno (con anche delle chicche), in maniera elegante ma leggera e allegra, travolgente, interessante!!! Houfburg oramai non ha (quasi) più segreti per noi 😂

Nice tour the story (diane) told was without faults. Splendid rooms. You can imagine a little bit the life of them in old times. It was very warm that day so she makes the tourma little bit shorter

Wir hatten eine super Reiseleiterin. Besser kann man eine Tour durch das Sissi Museum nicht machen. Ich hätte Ihr noch Stunden zuhören können. Leider ging die Zeit zu schnell vorbei. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Guido Aretz

Hofburg Palace Complex

This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the seat of the Habsburg dynasty for over 600 years and remains a symbol of Austria’s imperial legacy. The palace complex houses the Sisi Museum, Imperial Apartments, and historic courtyards, offering a deep dive into Vienna’s royal past.

Sisi Museum: View Empress Elisabeth’s personal items and discover her life story, set against the backdrop of the opulent Imperial Apartments.

Imperial Apartments: Explore lavish chambers, salons, and offices once used by the Habsburgs, showcasing authentic furnishings and royal décor.

Renovation notice: Some rooms in the Sisi Museum may be inaccessible during renovations in 2025.

What to bring

Bring a valid photo ID matching the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the tour involves moderate walking through palace grounds and gardens.

Dress appropriately for the weather, as parts of the tour take place outdoors.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed inside the museum or palace.

Baby strollers, umbrellas, and scooters are prohibited on the tour.

Pets are not permitted, except for registered service animals.

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the museum and palace areas.

There is no luggage storage available for bags, extra clothing, or personal items.

Accessibility

This activity is not suitable for individuals with disabilities.

The Sisi Museum features narrow, crowded, and loud corridors that may be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Additional information

Arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time; latecomers will not be admitted or refunded.

Tours are conducted in one language only, as selected during booking.

Headsets are provided for clear listening when the group size reaches 18 or more participants (maximum group size: 25).

The Sisi Museum will undergo renovations in 2025, and access to certain rooms and exhibitions may be restricted.

Free entry to the Hofburg courtyards, Heldenplatz, and Burggarten is included.

The gardens are not green or lit in winter; for the best experience, book a morning tour or visit in spring, summer, or autumn.

In case of bad weather (e.g., snow), an alternative route will be offered for guest safety.

From November 8 to December 31, the tour may include a visit to a local Christmas Market instead of the gardens.

Children aged 0–6 join for free; children aged 6–18 receive a reduced price (where applicable).

No hotel pickup or drop-off is included.

Gratuities, personal expenses, and additional activities outside the main tour are not included.
