We had an absolutely wonderful experience visiting The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi and The Butterfly Gardens, and it was honestly one of the best family outings we have had in Abu Dhabi. The National Aquarium was amazing from the moment we entered. The variety of marine life, the beautifully designed sections, and the huge underwater displays made the whole experience exciting and enjoyable for both adults and children. Everything was well organized, clean, and easy to explore, and we loved how educational the experience was without ever feeling boring. It was especially wonderful watching our little one get excited about all the different animals and discovering something new around every corner. The Butterfly Gardens was another highlight of our visit. Walking through the tropical environment surrounded by beautiful butterflies was such a peaceful and magical experience. The atmosphere was relaxing, and being able to see the butterflies flying freely around us made it feel very special. The gardens were also beautifully maintained, with plenty of greenery and interesting animals to see. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for the whole family. The combination of the aquarium and butterfly gardens made our visit even more memorable. We highly recommend both attractions to families, couples, and anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and unforgettable day in Abu Dhabi. We will definitely be coming back again!

We had a wonderful time at the National Aquarium Abu Dhabi! 🐠🐢🦈 We really enjoyed the beautiful views and seeing so many different kinds of aquatic species. The kids were absolutely amazed and excited throughout the visit. Seeing so many animals up close, especially some they had never seen before, was a special experience for them. Their faces lit up with excitement every time they discovered something new, and they couldn’t stop talking about the animals they saw. It was lovely to see their curiosity and happiness as they explored the aquarium. Overall, it was a fun, educational, and memorable experience for the whole family. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it! ❤️

My visit to the National Aquarium Abu Dhabi was honestly such a special experience. I booked the tickets through Headout, and everything was smooth and easy from start to finish. The aquarium itself was amazing and definitely gave me some really nice memories to take back.

A Wonderful Family Experience in Abu Dhabi We had a wonderful time visiting the Butterfly Garden and The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi. Both attractions were beautifully maintained and offered a great experience for families and children. The Butterfly Garden was peaceful and fascinating, with beautiful butterflies flying around freely. It was a lovely place to relax, take photos, and enjoy nature up close. The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi was equally impressive, with a wide variety of marine life and beautifully designed displays. The exhibits were informative, exciting, and enjoyable for both children and adults. Overall, it was a memorable experience and definitely worth visiting. I would highly recommend Butterfly Garden and The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi to anyone looking for a fun, educational, and family-friendly attraction in Abu Dhabi.

To be completely honest I wasn't really expecting too much, but the last day of my daughters 3 week visit and the chance to hide for a while from the summer heat inside the aquarium game across and a good idea. Were give directions by reception staff on arrival and started our tour. It was fantastic worth every dirham of the entrance fee. An amazing variety of not only fist but snakes, lizards, birds, otters to name a few it was breathtaking. Very relaxing walking at our own pace and really soaking in the environment. Then the visit to the area where they look after turtles that have been caught in fishing next or fishing line and then released back to the wild. These people do a great job and it well worth a visit I'm sure you will not be disappointed

It was a very beautiful and joyful moment for me. I think, this is a very beautiful place in Abu Dhabi. I felt like I was lost in the world of fish under the sea. Thanks to the Abu Dhabi National Aquarium team for giving tourists such a beautiful place to visit.

Why visit the National Aquarium in Abu Dhabi?

In addition to being designed on an epic scale, the National Aquarium is also home to over 35,000 aquatic animals from 300+ species of fish, birds, amphibians, arachnids, and reptiles. The National Aquarium is part of the overall vision of Al Qana which reflects Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030.

The aquarium is made up of 10 themed zones, each offering a unique chance to discover not just rare and exotic species, but also the existence of numerous ecosystems. Visitors get to view and experience the magnitude and raw beauty of marine life with creatures sourced from the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea to the Amazon, the Pacific, the Mediterranean, and the frozen waters of the Arctic.

Conservation & Education

All marine animals in the National Aquarium are responsibly and ethically sourced from around the world. The aquarium features the largest ever underwater tunnel, making the visitor experience all the more exciting and inclusive. As part of its conservation efforts, the aquarium also features a department dedicated entirely to education. This department will undertake a variety of entertaining shows, 60 educational exhibitions, and interactive and live-feeding sessions. With an upgrade to the All Access option, take a walk along the Glass Bridge and marvel at the gorgeous views on the Glass Bottom Boat tour. Get a peek behind the curtains on a Behind the Scenes tour of the aquarium and take home memories for a lifetime.

What to bring

Keep in mind, that food and beverages are not allowed inside the venue. Pack wisely!

Pets are not allowed on this experience.

For safety reasons, the All Access Pass and the Glass Bottom Boat Tour (Bu Tinah Dhow) are not recommended for pregnant guests.
