Depart Frankfurt by bus with your guide, who introduces the day’s itinerary during the journey.

What to bring

Dress in layers for the Rhine, as the weather can shift quickly from sunny to breezy.

During summer (June to August), don’t forget sun protection—a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen will make your boat ride and outdoor time much more pleasant.

Pack a light rain jacket or umbrella for sudden showers, especially in spring (March to May) and autumn (September and October).

What’s not allowed

It's best to leave large luggage or bulky bags behind, as storage on the bus and boat is limited.

Smoking is prohibited on the bus, the ship, in the restaurant and wine tavern, on the cable car, and inside all shops or other indoor attractions.

Accessibility

This tour is wheelchair accessible, but please ensure your wheelchair is foldable. Guests should be able to take a few steps when getting on and off the bus.

Additional information

Your guide will meet you on the sidewalk at Wiesenhüttenplatz 38, just a 5-minute walk from Frankfurt’s main train station. Try to arrive 10 minutes ahead of schedule.

Do not go inside the Le Méridien Hotel; the guide does not collect guests there or at the door.

The tour guide will inform you about the meal options at the start of the tour. Please let them know if you have any special requests, such as no pork, vegetarian or vegan meals, or gluten-free meals.

The wine tasting is a fun introduction to the history of wine growing in this region. It is not a professional wine sampling; instead, small tasters are served.

From November to March, the itinerary may be adjusted due to daylight, weather conditions, or unusual water levels. In such cases, routes may change, parts of the program may be substituted, or the cruise may be replaced with a visit to a castle or historic site, such as the romantic Marksburg or one of the festive Christmas markets.

In the summer months (April to October), you can opt for a relaxing cable car ride to the river. The cable car ride is not included, but it’s an affordable and enjoyable experience.
