Koblenz Rhine or Moselle River Sightseeing Cruise

We had a wonderful time exploring Koblenz and its surroundings from the Rhine in just one hour. The punctual and quiet boat took us through natural areas without disturbing the ducks. We let ourselves be lulled by the gentle motion; the weather was beautiful, and we listened to the commentary in German and English. We would have just appreciated a little music to add a touch of whimsy.

A very beautiful route through lovely countryside, featuring impressive historical sights. Passing through the lock is also a very interesting experience! The boat is modern and well-maintained, and it even has air conditioning for hot days.

The scenery was lovely and the ride was really pleasant. The English narration was lacking though. There were two occasions where something was said in German and then there was never an English translation. Also ours was shorter and for sure had less info than the German one. But we'll worth the money

We took our two children (ages 1.5 and 8) on a short but incredibly varied boat tour in Koblenz, and we absolutely loved it! The cruise was perfectly tailored for families—short enough that the kids didn’t get restless, yet packed with so much to see that we really got to experience many highlights: the imposing Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the famous Deutsches Eck, the magnificent Electoral Palace, and other beautiful sights along the Rhine and the Moselle. The audio guide was especially great; it brought the stories of each building to life. We didn’t just enjoy the beautiful views; we actually learned something. We really liked the ship itself: it has both covered and open areas. The best spot was at the bow—there are benches there where you can enjoy the passing scenery just like in a movie theater. For the kids, there was even a little play area on the ship where they could really let off some steam. Drinks, snacks, and ice cream are available on board, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Yes, the prices aren’t exactly cheap, but the quality of the ship, the service, and the overall experience more than justify it. Bottom line: An all-around successful family activity in Koblenz that we would do again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

It was really nice, but unfortunately none of us (5 people) could understand any of the explanations. And it was NOT because of the noise from the other passengers. It was just way too quiet!

Friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced staff. A decent selection of cakes and dishes. A pleasant route with no surprises. You can't hear the PA announcements on deck, so you also miss the commentary at the scenic viewpoints.
