Reservations can be made up to 48 hours before the date of travel.

Luggage between 160 cm and 250 cm requires advance reservation. Oversized luggage must be stored behind the last row of reserved seats and is not permitted in non-reserved cars. Carrying oversized luggage without a reservation may incur a fee.

All cars are non-smoking, and train configurations may change without notice.

Power outlets are available at select seats in Standard cars. On the N700 series ordinary cars, power outlets are only available at window seats, while on the N700S, power outlets are available at all seats.

Children under 6 travel free of charge if they do not occupy a separate seat and may need to be seated on an accompanying passenger’s lap. Proof of age may be requested at the time of travel.

A maximum of 6 passengers can be booked in a single booking.

Your ticket is valid only for the specific train, date, time, route, and seat reserved. You may not board any other train.

In unavoidable circumstances such as typhoons or earthquakes, refunds may be issued without any charge.

You may not use non-reserved (unreserved) seats on any train, including the train for which you hold a reservation.

If you board or alight at an intermediate station within your reserved route, the unused portion of your ticket is void and non-refundable.

Guests are strongly recommended to arrive at the departure station with sufficient time before their scheduled departure.

If you miss your train, you will need to purchase a new limited express ticket to board the next available train. If you wish to travel in Green Car, you will also need a Green Car ticket (in the event of missing your train, the regular ticket portion remains valid for the remainder of that day; however, refunds for the ticket portion alone are not available).

If you cannot present your QR ticket at the ticket gate due to a lost smartphone or other reason, you will need to purchase a new ticket.

If you travel beyond your intended destination, you will need to purchase a new ticket for that section of the journey.

You must pass through the ticket gate to board the train. However, if you are unable to do so, the station staff cannot assist you, so you must contact headout.
