Discover the dynamic contrasts of Tokyo on this 4-hour guided walking tour. We start in the futuristic sky and end in a peaceful traditional garden, covering the "must-see" aspects of the city along the way.
1. SHIBUYA SKY (The View): Your tour begins at Shibuya Station. We ascend to SHIBUYA SKY (Ticket Included), the city's most popular observation deck. From 229 meters above ground, you will see the sprawling metropolis, the famous Scramble Crossing from above, and (on clear days) Mt. Fuji. It is the perfect place to understand the sheer scale of Tokyo.
2. Subway & Depachika (The Culture): Next, we hop on the subway for a short ride to the Shinjuku area. Here, we dive into the basement of the Isetan Department Store to experience a "Depachika" (Food Hall). Marvel at the "jewelry box" presentation of Japanese sweets, bento boxes, and fresh fruits. It is a feast for the eyes and a deep dive into Japanese gift-giving culture.
3. Shinjuku Gyoen (The Oasis): Finally, we escape the urban hustle and enter Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Originally a residence of the Samurai and later an Imperial Garden, this vast park features three distinct styles: Traditional Japanese, French Formal, and English Landscape. We will stroll around the serene ponds and pavilions. For anime fans, this garden is also famous as the setting for Makoto Shinkai’s movie "The Garden of Words." The tour concludes at the garden, leaving you relaxed and ready for dinner in the nearby Shinjuku district.
*(Note: Shinjuku Gyoen is closed on Mondays. If your tour is on a Monday, we will visit the Meiji Shrine Inner Garden or a similar alternative).*
