It was 4:15 p.m. No wait to get in. Quick security checks. A very enjoyable visit. The Cathedral is magnificent. Perhaps a few more informational signs wouldn’t have hurt. The Giralda, although the climb was long, wasn’t too tiring and was definitely worth it for the beautiful view. The Alcázar is magnificent—and just as vast. A wonderful visit to a stunning city.

The Mudéjar-style architecture is breathtaking: every room, with its carved arches, intricately carved ceilings, and colorful azulejos, tells a story of centuries of history and incredible beauty. Strolling through the lush gardens, amid gushing fountains, the scent of citrus, and peacocks roaming freely, makes you feel as if you’re literally in another world. The place is amazing, very well-maintained and clean. The area is huge, but they provide maps, and there are even more maps scattered throughout the entire area. There are security guards inside the grounds as well, along with surveillance cameras. Everything there is great. There’s just one exception, which in my opinion fell short: the coffee shop is located in a great setting, but the level of service and the food served don’t justify the high prices. It’s a shame, because it could easily earn 5 stars.

The prices were the lowest we found, and very easy process. The Real Alcazar palace was great, but the Sevilla cathedral was very impressive. Although our tickets mentioned 'skip the line' we were told it was all the same line, thankfully they were not very long 😉. We did not pay for a guided tour, got most of our information online.

The Alcázar of Seville and Seville Cathedral are wheelchair accessible.

Guide dogs and emotional support animals are allowed within the Alcazar and the cathedral, subject to producing the official documentation.

Wheelchair users are prohibited from climbing the La Giralda.

People with vertigo, claustrophobia, anaemia, tendency to dizziness, heart problems, and/or respiratory problems are advised not to climb the La Giralda.

Seville Hop-on Hop off Bus Tour

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Keep in mind that the wheelchairs cannot be larger than 70cm wide, 120cm long, and 135cm high. If your wheelchair exceeds these parameters, you can contact the operator to assist you.

Each bus can only accommodate one wheelchair at a time. If a bus already has a wheelchair user on board, you may have to wait for the next one.
