I went to the aquarium with my 5-year-old daughter. It was really lovely—interesting for her, but also for me. It had a cozy, pleasant atmosphere where you’d love to spend time with your kids. The show was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended!

Situated in COEX Mall, the SEA LIFE COEX, Seoul Aquarium is the largest aquarium in Korea. The aquarium features over 90 exhibition tanks placed in 14 unique "discovery zones". These zones collectively house over 40,000 sea animals - indigenous as well as global, ranging from sharks and rays to penguins and even otters.

The aquarium is arranged in a manner such that you follow a preset path through the aquarium, experiencing each themed zone. These zones are

Penguin's Playground

One of the major highlights of the aquarium is a 2000-ton capacity tank with an acrylic tunnel running through it. It also includes a moving walkway that will transport you through the tunnel for a completely immersive experience. In the tunnel, you can see sharks and sea turtles which swim around you in all directions.

Other popular attractions at the COEX Aquarium are mermaid dance performances and a feeding program. The mermaid dance takes place on weekends and holidays while the feeding program occurs on weekdays, except Monday.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind outside food, beverages, and dangerous items like bottles, firecrackers, lasers, etc. are not allowed inside the aquarium. Pack wisely!

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along on this experience.

Smoking and drinking are prohibited inside the venue.

Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography is a no-go inside the venue.

Re-entry is not allowed.

Accessibility

This experience is accessible by wheelchairs and prams/strollers.

If you need a wheelchair or stroller, you can rent one at the COEX Mall service counter.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Photo printing service is not included with digital photo service. Additional charge for photo printing: KRW15,000 for each 2 prints.
