CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago4/5Great experience at the Royal Palace of Caserta. An interesting visit with a very knowledgeable and professional guide (Valter). Very satisfied, and I will definitely recommend this service to my friends for their visit.MMonica S
CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5Wonderful experience! With the guide, you step into the world of the 18th century, see through the eyes of the princess, and imagine yourself in that era during a court party, entering via the magnificent staircase enveloped in music.VVanna V
GroupVerified bookingLast week5/5Four friends and I visited the Royal Palace of Caserta for the first time on October 14, 2026. Getting there is very easy, as the station is right nearby. The palace is absolutely breathtaking and massive. Our guide, Walter, was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and shared humorous stories about what court life was like. The immense garden is also a must-see, especially the English Garden, as is the beautiful fountain. It’s best to buy tickets and book a guide online, just as we did. All in all, a wonderful experience and, above all, money well spent to truly understand the details of this architectural treasure. VannaMModugno G
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5A fantastic site! The guide Walter was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about everything, even geology. A wonderful experience. For the shuttle, I recommend the 15-euro full tour; on foot, even partially, you don't get to see all the beauty of the caves and gardens, including the 7 waterfalls and the 12 waterfalls representing the days of the week and months of the year, plus the magnificent fountains. The Royal Palace of Caserta is the mother of Versailles and Vienna.MMascheroni F
CoupleVerified booking5 days ago5/5My husband and I took the guided tour of the Royal Palace of Caserta and were thrilled. Ms. Diana was wonderful—extremely knowledgeable and able to keep our attention from start to finish. She shared historical anecdotes and architectural details with perfect pacing, without ever feeling heavy or boring. An experience I highly recommend to truly appreciate the beauty of the place.
Gear up to explore the grandeur of Europe’s largest palace! Designed by Luigi Vanvitelli in 1774, the Royal Palace of Caserta is a masterpiece of opulence, often compared to Versailles and Royal Palace of Madrid.
Get a taste of royalty
Your journey starts at the Palatine Chapel, with its stunning frescoes. Ascend the grand staircase, with its 116 marble steps and statues that give you a royal welcome. On the upper floor, see the Throne Room, Astrea Room’s celestial motifs, and the Four Seasons Room, where art meets nature. With your guide’s insights, each room reveals stories beyond its beauty.
Conclude at the Kings apartments
End your journey in the opulent apartments of Joachim Murat, Napoleon’s brother-in-law, and former King of Naples. These lavish rooms gives us a glimpse into the royal lifestyle of the past, all while your guide peppers the experience with fun, historical anecdotes. The tour concludes with a stroll through the palace’s vast gardens, a perfect way to relax after your deep dive into history.
