Cycle, explore, and marvel at Rottnest Island's wonders
Upon your arrival, get your bicycle as well as helmet and set out to explore an island that's 11km long and 4km wide. Pedal at your own pace, charting a course filled with views of bays and untouched beaches. Let the morning's gentle breeze guide you to the southern bays, then in the afternoon, venture to the spectacular Basin, Parakeet Bay, and Little Armstrong Bay on the southwest.
Did you know that Rottnest Island is home to the rare Quokka, often termed the 'world's happiest animal'? Don't miss the chance to encounter these friendly marsupials and perhaps even capture a cherished 'Quokka selfie'.

Guide dogs are allowed onboard the ferry. However, as Rottnest Island is an A-Class reserve you should contact the rangers there for further advice on service dog allowance.

All passengers must arrive at the terminal at least 30 minutes prior to departure. If you are traveling with no luggage or freight and have e-tickets or QR codes, please make your way straight to the boarding gate. Final Boarding is 5 minutes prior to departure after which the vessel gangways are removed to ensure that the vessel departs by the stated time.

Bicycles must be collected on the island by an Adult (18+) and must be returned to Pedal and Flipper by closing time on the same day.

Children's bikes are suitable for children between the ages of 4 to 7. Children aged 7 or older can usually use adult-sized bikes.
