We had already tried the day before to get into the Vatican Museums without a reserved ticket, but we gave up after a while because the line was too long and the heat was unbearable. On the Vatican Museums’ official website, after several attempts, we were unable to make a reservation. While browsing the web, we came across Headout and were able to book for the next day with great ease. The hostess accompanied us to the museum entrance, providing us with the most important information for entry. We’re so glad we were able to visit the Museums—it was truly worth it—and throughout the tour, we kept telling ourselves that without Headout, we never would have made it. I highly recommend this agency.

Before I have only seen them in YouTube videos, Facebook and other social medias and now I that I have visited and seen them in person, I was blown away of how detailed and beautiful they are. I loved that they preserved the all the historical paintings, statues and murals in the best condition. I absolutely agree that Michael Angelo is a genius.

Bring a charger and some water, because it’s going to be a very long trip. The statues are absolutely spectacular there’s really nothing to complain about. Standing at the heart of the place where the Pope, the representative of God, is elected is a feeling that’s impossible to put into words

Confirmation email with all the necessary information for picking up the voucher, which is available at a location right in front of the Vatican Museum entrance. Upon arrival, I immediately received my printed ticket—without having to wait in line—and was escorted by a staff member to the security checkpoint inside the museum! It was really worth it to purchase the ticket in advance through Headout!

I booked my trip to Rome at the last minute and managed to get all the tickets together in one package, which made things a lot easier for me since I couldn't find any availability on other websites. The employee were so nice and we got all the needed information. Even when came late to the Panteon which the tickets were included in the Vatican's combo, they gave us the entrance tickets and we were able to get in the Panteon 3 hours later

Vatican Museums

Photography and the use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the Sistine Chapel.

Luggage and/or large bags are not allowed inside the venue. You may drop off your bags with the free cloakroom service.

Pets and other small animals are not allowed in the venue, except for guide dogs.

It is recommended to cover tattoos and any other similarly visible distinctive personal signs.

Most museums are generally closed on Mondays, except for Colosseum (booking required), Mercati di Traiano, Musei Capitolini, and Museo dell’Ara Pacis.

Almost all the museums are closed on 25 Dec, 1 Jan, and 1 May.

Please find your host at the meeting point specified on the voucher, who will assist you in the check-in process. Do not head to the entrance of the Vatican Museum directly.

Please note the chosen time must be respected and latecomers will not be accommodated.

Although it is not included in these tickets, access to St. Peter's Basilica is free. However, there could be a waiting line during peak season.

Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Please be dressed appropriately. Sleeveless blouses, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for all guests.

The pass must be activated on the first journey on public transport even if it has already been activated at the first entrance to a museum.

At the national museums and archaeological sites (Colosseum included) on the first Sunday of the month, admission is free for all.
