The museum portion of the site was very inspiring and enlightening. It went over the history of Capichins and their humanitarian work and provided extremely important context to what (and who) you will see in the crypt, so I recommend taking your time and not rushing through. The museum provides headsets and recorders for the audio guide and it makes the experience much more immersive. It's also much larger and fuller than expected, so I'd make sure to slot out a least an hour to look around, but you could likely spend an hour and a half or two hours here. The crypt portion is genuinely a work of art. I recommend highly for lovers of cultural anthropology, anatomy, history, or the macabre respectively.

The Capuchin Crypt was a most interesting experience. After seeing the over-the-top floor to ceiling art of the Vatican and other galleries, the simplicity of the art created with the bones of deceased monks was delicately beautiful. The way the exhibit is set up helps guide the visitor slowly through the history of the monks and helps them to appreciate what they are about to see once they get to the actual crypt. It is a soothing perspective on death and our purpose. Would definitely recommend it to others.

The audio tour takes you on a beautiful journey through the history of the Capuchins and their role in the city of Rome. It is a wonderful introduction to the shocking and fascinating crypts, where you learn to see transience and the beauty of death through the eyes of Francis. We concluded our visit with a tour of the adjacent church. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. No photos, because you have to see it for yourself!

A really interesting visit, which I highly recommend. The audio guide is very well done and enjoyable. The visit takes about an hour and, in addition to the crypt, there are many interesting things to see in the area leading up to the entrance to the crypt itself. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.

The museum is interesting where it explains who the Capuchin friars were, what they were dedicated to, with descriptions of the most important friars in history. The crypts on the other hand are the real highlight, beautiful mosaics of bones with the smallest pieces of ns body covering all the ceiling arches, chosen with real accuracy. The crypts on the other hand fascinating and scenic also studied in great detail especially in the central parts each with a different theme. I personally had a good time and did not feel the weight of lost souls, probably each of them found peace.

Unique, but interesting tour. Having purchased tickets in advance allowed us to walk right up to the door to get in and avoid the very long line (once we figured that out). Buying the tickets online probably saved us at least a half hour of standing in line on the sidewalk.

Was very enjoyable. The kid path was a little hard to follow until we realized there was a separate number path to follow. Overall it was great and we enjoyed it ☺️
