The MANN has so many interesting items in their collections especially those related to Pompeii and Herculaneum. The objects were very easy to view with placards in both Italian and English explaining the history behind the item. The size of some of the statuary was immense and makes you wonder how they were sculpted. Imagine the delight of the archeologists discovering piece after piece of ancient history.

I visited Pompeii and Herculaneum as part of a tour and delayed my return flight to give me a day in Naples. Prior to the holiday, I bought from Headout a retun bus ticket from the airport and a timed entrance to the Naples Archeological Museum. I was quite anxious but everything ran really smoothly. I arrived early at the museum thinking I would need to wait but was taken through past the queue (not lengthy but nice not to join). The museum is in a fabulous building (Sundial Hall) and the exhibits are exquisit. The cameo Farnese bowl and Blue Vase are exceptionally beautiful. The description behind the Memento Mori mosaic, is reflective and is to encourage us to live life to the full. I fully recommend a visit.

Ambele trasee sunt interesante; există posibilitatea de a parca la punctul principal de plecare și sosire, lângă castel. Comentariile sunt utile, dar uneori greu de înțeles.

Die Hop-on-Hop-off-Bustour ist die perfekte Möglichkeit, sich einen Eindruck von Neapel zu verschaffen, ohne selbst mit dem Auto fahren zu müssen oder zu Fuß zu gehen. Man wird einfach herumkutschiert. Manchmal ist das ja auch schön.
Die Busse fahren pünktlich alle Stationen an und die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr nett. Während der Fahrt kann man per Klinkenstecker seine eigenen Kopfhörer mit dem Audioguide verbinden. Ansonsten werden dort welche zur Verfügung gestellt.
Man sollte sich die empfohlene Sightseeing-Experience-App vorab herunterladen, die Infos zum Streckenplan, den Haltestellen, den Abfahrtzeiten und der eigenen Position gibt. So weiß man immer, wo man gerade ist. Die Beschilderung an den Haltestellen ist nämlich eher dürftig.
Die rote Route führt in 40 Min. durch die Innenstadt. Mit der blauen Route fährt man 70 Min. an der Küste entlang und hat einen phantastischen Blick in die Bucht von Neapel. Unbedingt beide Routen fahren!

Era un loc atât de mare și aveai atâtea lucruri de văzut. Exponatele egiptene erau uimitoare. Rezervă-ți mai mult de câteva ore ca să te bucuri cu adevărat de tot.

Un loc minunat, amenajat cu atenție la detalii, cu opere de artă extrem de importante expuse. Personalul este amabil, competent și prietenos.
Iar finalul, cu Caravaggio, a fost emoționant. Felicitări!
