The Story
The story revolves around two witches, Glinda and Elphaba, who go on to play pivotal roles in the story of Wizard of Oz as the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch respectively. The story starts with the two of them beginning their education together at Shiz University. Through many trials, opposing viewpoints and natures, love triangles, and reactions to the corrupt Wizard, they ultimately grow apart and take on their opposing roles in the world. Wicked was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. The view of the stage was excellent, offering a perfect vantage point to take in the stunning visuals (for reference we were seated in Row C, seat 22 and 23). The lighting and special effects were genuinely breathtaking, adding real depth and drama to the performance. The cast was exceptional – their vocals were powerful and moving, and the acting and dancing brought such emotion and energy with every moment. The entire production felt polished and was incredibly immersive. The venue itself was clean and well-kept, with spotless facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. The themed drinks were a fun touch, and they were delicious, and the bar service was impressively quick too - we were able to get another round of drinks during the interval. It was an unforgettable night that completely lived up to the hype.Matthew
