The rijksmuseum was fabulous. So much to see but a long waist and poor service at the cafe. The Blue boat cruise however was very poor. While the canal cruise itself was enjoyable the audio commentary and interaction from the boat captain was very limited. No. Lear directions as to what we were looking at and no interesting facts or takes about Amsterdam and its history. Very disappointed. We learnt more from our daughter who'd done a different boat cruise only 2 weeks before

A great collection of fine are and its history in Amsterdam and Europe...well spent 3.5 hrs and I would recommend as one of the cities 'must see's attraction. Only complaint might be the tour groups lingering in front of the museum's top works while discussing other attractions...a minor issue.

Your Rijksmuseum ticket includes a fixed entry time selected during booking.

Entry to the museum is only permitted at this exact timeslot.

Your voucher must be scanned first at the Rijksmuseum entrance.

The canal cruise ticket is an open ticket with no pre-assigned departure time.

To receive a cruise timeslot, you must redeem your open ticket at a Gray Line Amsterdam or Blue Boat Company ticket office.

After redemption, you may board the next available boat from either of the docks listed below:

Dock 1: Opposite the Hard Rock Cafe (Stadhouderskade 501). Take tram 1, 2, 5, 11, or 12 and get off at Leidseplein. The dock is a 2-min walk away.

Dock 2: Opposite the Heineken Experience (Stadhouderskade 550). Take tram 2, 5, or 12 and get off at Rijksmuseum (5-min walk), or take Metro 52 and get off at Vijzelgracht (2-min walk).

Amsterdam Canal Cruise

Children aged 4 and under can join for free.

Discounted tickets are available for children aged 5 to 17.

Guests over 17 are charged the adult fare.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Most boats feature a fully enclosed roof and onboard heating.

This ensures a comfortable ride even in colder weather.

Cruises mainly operate within the city centre, where waters are generally calm, allowing sailings in most weather conditions.

In cases of extreme weather, the operator will contact you to reschedule your cruise.

The final departure from the Heineken Experience is at 5:15pm.

The last departure from the Hard Rock Cafe is at 6pm.

Cruises do not operate on King’s Day (Apr 27), Pride & Queer Canal Parade Day (Aug 5), or Christmas Day (Dec 25).

On New Year’s Eve (Dec 31), cruises run until 4pm, and on New Year’s Day (Jan 1), until 12pm.

Please arrive at least 15 mins before departure.

Please display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption points.

If you have purchased reduced-price tickets, please carry your valid photo ID proof for verification.
