GroupVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5Pena Palace is absolutely breathtaking! It’s charming, colorful, and beautifully nestled in the countryside, with incredible views stretching all the way to Lisbon. The interior tour was very well organized and moved quickly. Even though there were a lot of visitors, the waiting time was minimal, making the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The palace also has a lovely gift shop and café that are worth visiting. The walk up from town is quite steep and hilly, but it’s absolutely worth the effort. If you’d rather skip the climb, there are plenty of tuk-tuks and taxis available. We’re so happy we booked our tickets through Headout—it made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Pena Palace was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!GGabriel G
GroupVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5I enjoyed the tour of the Pena Palace and the various terraces because of the views they offer. The park is pleasant to walk through, although all the hills are tiring. Well-organized. Quinta da Regaleira: The palace and chapel are very beautiful on the outside, though there isn’t much to see inside. The most interesting thing to see was the Initiation Well. Very pleasant café.DDanielle C
GroupVerified bookingJul 20265/5The castle grounds are magnificent, and the views are just as stunning. Running shoes are a must, especially if you're heading down to the village. I was wearing very comfortable sandals, but they need to provide ankle support.HHuarong J
FamilyVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5It was a wonderful visit, and everything went great. Even though we arrived late at the palace, they let us in. Thank you! It was a really great experience.NNuria V
CoupleVerified booking4 days ago5/5The Palácio da Pena and Quinta Regaleira are very beautiful. The Palácio da Pena is way too crowded, and I didn’t expect that visiting the inside of the palace (4 or 5 rooms) would mean spending the whoooole time in line—from the moment you enter until you leave— but it’s still worth visiting since the palace ticket gives you access to the terraces (which, of course, are still very crowded). I liked Quinta Regaleira better—it’s quieter and more spacious. You can explore the interior rooms at a more leisurely pace without waiting in line. At the Initiation Well, the attendant was rushing people along to keep the line moving and not let them stop to take pictures inside, which I didn’t like, because obviously people want to take photos, but you can still manage to get some shots. I liked Quinta Regaleira better than Palácio da Pena—both are very beautiful.
