I think the best part about my visit was the KNOWLEDGE our tour guide had. He explained everything in details, answered questions and even shared his own experiences which made this trip memorable. I visited the museum for many reasons but my main one was to learn about my heritage, our tour guide shared so much history with me I struggled to keep my emotions in. There were soo many things to look at from hand written letters to personal belongings, pictures and other. This place is 1000% worth visiting, as its a place full of memories and at the end of the tour you will definitely have a different look on life. Thank you so much

It's an excellent place to visit and the factory is really well laid out to learn about the history from before the war until the end of war. It covers some really key parts. However the tour itself felt very rushed, we missed some parts because we wanted to read some of the information on the boards as well. It was a big so it wasn't always possible to hear the tour guide if you ended up at the back. I'd love to go back to the museum but I think next time we'd do it at our own pace. Tour guide was also late, and we'd arrived the 15 mins early it said to. In this weather that wasn't fun.

We were welcomed and instructed. A guide from the museum led us through the exhibition. There were six of us and no audio guide. We found this very pleasant. Highly recommended as you are told the most important points and don't have to read and translate the text (mostly English or Polish). If you wanted to, you could walk through the exhibition again at the end and take additional photos or read. Highly recommended
    • Join an expert-led tour to uncover insider stories and little-known details about the factory and the industrialist who inspired Spielberg’s Schindler’s List.

    • Choose a guide in your preferred language (English, German, Polish, Spanish, French, or Italian) for a deeper understanding of the Holocaust, ensuring no context is lost in translation.

    • Your guide provides insight into this complex figure, revealing his motivations, contradictions, and backstory, while leading you through a recreated Jewish ghetto, permanent exhibitions, and key film locations.

    • Spend more time exploring and less time in lines with priority entry, and discover the stories behind each exhibit that you might miss on your own.

    • Upgrade with a visit to the Podgórze Ghetto to witness the cramped and harsh living conditions endured by Jews under constant threat during WWII.

    • Skip-the-line entry to Oskar Schindler’s Factory

The museum is a treasure time capsule which allows a rare look into the past. It was most communicative and felt as if we were travelling in time. I highly recommend it to everyone! 🙏

I visited Oskar Schindler’s Factory today and it’s easily one of the most powerful museum experiences I’ve ever had. From the entrance you already feel that this is not a “classical” museum, but a historic place turned into a story you walk through. The permanent exhibition “Krakow under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945” is exceptionally well-designed: narrow corridors, reconstructed streets, tram interiors, flats and offices re-create the atmosphere of an occupied city and make you feel how quickly “normal life” turned into persecution and terror. The mix of original documents, photos, short films and multimedia is very balanced – informative without feeling overwhelming. Although the museum is in Schindler’s former enamel factory, the focus is much broader than just his biography. It’s primarily about the fate of Krakow’s Jewish and Polish population, the creation and liquidation of the ghetto, and the machinery of Nazi occupation. Schindler’s story appears as an important thread inside this wider context – especially in his preserved office and the room with the wall of enamel pots symbolising the lives saved. Standing there, with the names from “Schindler’s list” around you, is deeply moving. On the practical side: • Organisation: Circulation is one-way and clearly marked; exhibit captions are in Polish and English, well written and easy to follow. • Crowds: Even with pre-booked tickets you should expect crowds and a slow pace – but in a way, the density of people adds to the feeling of claustrophobia that the exhibition wants to transmit. • Time needed: Count at least 2 hours if you want to read, watch and reflect in peace; anything less feels rushed. Overall, this visit is emotionally heavy but absolutely essential if you are in Krakow. Don’t come here expecting a Hollywood retelling of the film “Schindler’s List”; come prepared for a detailed, sometimes uncomfortable history lesson about occupation, collaboration, resistance and courage. Rating: 5/5 – a must-see museum that combines powerful storytelling with rigorous historical content.

Since it was a third-party tour, no one knew where the meeting point was or who was the guide. Outside the building we found several guides but none of them was ours. At some point, after more than 20 minutes, we managed to find our group, which was already inside. Apart from that, the tour itself was great. Maybe too fast, but lasted the exact time planned, so it's ok. Would recommend it after all
