    Getting started

    Meet your guide at the designated point in Bayeux and look for the sign with the tour name and Ophorus logo. After a short introduction, board your air-conditioned minivan or minibus and set off through the Normandy countryside with onboard PA commentary.

    What to expect

    Pointe du Hoc or Longues-sur-Mer Battery

    Visit Pointe du Hoc, where U.S. Army Rangers scaled the cliffs on June 6, 1944. If the site is inaccessible, your guide will take you to Longues-sur-Mer Battery, one of Normandy’s best-preserved German coastal defenses.

    Walk along one of the most significant American landing beaches and learn about the battle, the soldiers who fought there, and the challenges of the D-Day assault.

    Normandy American Cemetery
