What to expect
The music: Rotating DJs raid the pre-2016 vault with zero genre loyalty—Crazy in Love into Sandstorm into Mr Brightside into Ignition (Remix), then a hard left into 2007 indie sleaze just to test the crowd. The booth has one job: nothing post-2016. Get caught playing anything newer? Whole round on the house. The DJs honour it. People absolutely try to catch them out. Around the pool: inflatables that demand bad decisions, retro arcade-style games, and a crowd doing full-lung sing-alongs to songs they haven't thought about since school. Seven hours of "wait, this was a banger" energy. You will lose your voice. You will rediscover at least four songs you forgot you loved. You will see a grown adult cry to a Sean Paul track. Worth it.
The venue: Ibiza Rocks
West side of the island in Sant Antoni de Portmany, Carrer de Cervantes 27, short walk from the San An strip, easy taxi from Ibiza Town or Playa d'en Bossa. The open-air pool club is the venue: pool dead centre, poolside stage where the DJ booth lives, bars around the perimeter, day beds and sofas wrapping the deck. Sunset over the bay if you stay till close. Bring sunscreen and a willingness to embarrass yourself.
