Expect some spray during the approach; you may get wet from the boat cruise, although clothing often dries quickly on sunny days.

Journey Behind the Falls

What to expect

Journey Behind the Falls lets you move through tunnels and stand on observation platforms beside Horseshoe Falls for a ground-level perspective.

Walk through the tunnels that bring you to portals cut behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls, where you can feel and hear the water as it drops in front of you.

Step onto outdoor observation platforms located beside the falls for close views of the rock face, water flow, and mist rising from below.

Whirlpool Aero Car

What to expect

The Whirlpool Aero Car operates seasonally, typically from April to November, carrying you above the Niagara Whirlpool in an antique cable car.

Ride suspended over the Niagara River and look down at the swirling Niagara Whirlpool where the water changes direction in a deep gorge.

Use this vantage point to see the contrast between the calmer, higher river and the rapid, churning water directly beneath the cable.

Aero Car season: The Aero Car usually operates in summer from about April 11 to November 14, with dates subject to weather.

Aero Car alternative: When the Aero Car is closed, it is replaced with the Skylon Tower.

Weather changes: All seasonal attraction dates may change due to weather conditions.

Language: Tour commentary is provided in English only, although guides will assist non-English speakers where possible.

Passport: You do not need a passport, as this tour stays entirely on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
