CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5teamLab Phenomena is a project that sets the stage for wonder right from the start: the giant white building on the shore of Saadiyat Island looks, in itself, like an alien spacecraft washed ashore—not a single right angle, just flowing forms. And I have to admit, what’s inside fully lives up to the architecture’s ambitions—though not quite as successfully in every respect. To be honest, the museum’s wet zone didn’t really grab me. But further on, the real magic began. The foam installation—clouds of soapy foam living their own lives behind glass. An experience that’s absolutely impossible to capture in a photo. And I have a special fondness for the halls with light and laser installations. Flickering beams cutting through the darkness create luminous objects—this is where you truly feel the reason teamLab exists at all. The rooftop café deserves a special mention—the Japanese teahouse Anko, which seamlessly extends the museum’s atmosphere rather than disrupting it. The veranda overlooking the sea and the sunset is the perfect spot to catch your breath after the flood of impressions inside. Wagashi, tea, coffee—everything is prepared with the same meticulous care as the installations, and you don’t feel for a moment that you’ve stepped into a typical museum café. An added bonus: you can access the terrace even without a ticket to the museum itself, so it works well as a standalone evening destination.DDaneth S
GroupVerified booking3 weeks ago4/5I was able to book and receive my ticket in real time. I purchased on my drive to Abu Dhabi and didn't even check again as I knew my tickets would be in my app when I get there. The Museum was a great choice, it looks unappealing outside and the pictures I usually see online were just dinosaurs bones, I thought it was just for children. But it was for everyone, well curated pieces and documented to teach about civilization, evolving into the future. I loved the area dealing with climate change and the artwork, images and technology used throughout. Yes there were lab rooms and challenges at every stage to engage the youth and give a hands on experience for them. Great for adults too.SSaira K
