What to expect

Battleship IOWA

This experience focuses on Battleship IOWA's presidential legacy and its wider sailor stories. You combine the structured Guided President's Tour with time for a self-guided Battleship IOWA experience so you can explore at your own pace after the guided portion.

Features

• On the Guided President's Tour, you receive exclusive guided access to the historic Captain's Cabin, where you hear tales of diplomacy and a close call involving another escort ship during Franklin D. Roosevelt's historic trip.
• As you move through the ship, you see the only bathtub still in existence on a Navy vessel that was installed for a sitting U.S. president, a detail that brings FDR's time on board to life.
• The self-guided Battleship IOWA experience lets you navigate five decks of interactive exhibits and sailor stories on the main deck, using on-site brochures to follow suggested routes or focus on the areas that most interest you.
• Families can join Vicky's Scavenger Hunt, a family-friendly Vicky the Dog scavenger hunt woven through the ship, while staying connected with access to onboard Wi-Fi for the duration of the visit.
