From Barcelona: Montserrat Day Trip & Hot Air Balloon Ride

What to bring

• Carry a valid ID or passport to get your tickets validated.

• Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.

• Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended, especially during the summer.

• Since the experience begins at 5am, you should carry a jacket as temperatures can be chilly.

What’s not allowed

• Large luggage or bulky items are not permitted on the hot air balloon.

• Sharp objects, flammable materials, and drones are strictly prohibited.

• Passengers under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to board.

• The monastery has a strict dress code: men and women must dress appropriately at this religious site.

• Men and women must wear shoes that cover their knees and shoulders.

• Entering the monastery in flip-flops is prohibited.

• Flash photography, tripods & selfie sticks are prohibited inside the basilica.

• Photography is also prohibited during services at the monastery.

• Entering the Basilica during acts of worship is prohibited, unless you’re taking part in them.

Accessibility

• The hot air balloon isn't suitable for wheelchair users due to the aircraft's limitations.

• This experience isn't suitable for anyone weighing over 220lbs or 100kg.

Additional information

• You must arrive at the designated meeting point 15 minutes before the tour is scheduled to begin.

• Passengers may be weight before boarding the hot air balloon for due to logistical limitations & safety concerns.

• The hot air balloon ride may be rescheduled or cancelled due to inclement weather.

• The Montserrat Monastery tour with access to the cable car is only available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

• This experience includes a drink at the end of the balloon ride. Availability is subject to age restrictions and local laws. Please carry a valid ID and drink responsibly.

• There is a minimum number of people required to operate the tour. If this isn't met, you may be provided an alternative date, another tour of equal or superior value, or a full refund.
