Thanks to the ticket arranged through Headout, we got an easy entrance into the museum, which was very convenient! The art collection is huge in the Prado and there were many visitors. We decided to walk through almost all the halls and rooms and to select the most striking painters like Goya, Ribera, Velasquez, the Dutch and Flemish painters, Jeroen Bosch or El Bosco. We have spend about 5 hours in the musem, including a coffee break. It was absolutely worth while to visit this stunning museum, the 4th time for me since 1981! As it was not allowed to take any picture inside the museum, I am not able to add one below.

The highlight of our visit to the Prado was the experience provided by our Argentinian guide, Flores. From the moment of greeting us, to the tour of selected paintings, Flores was a calm presence in this busy museum. Flores displayed a passion for the art which she transferred to her clients. She engaged her audience by providing an overview of paintings, posing questions to us and encouraging us to look in more detail at the works, all in excellent English. Flores enriched our experience of the Prado and her I would heartily recommend her.

Huge museum but you don't necessarily need an audio guide. The printed flyer maps are good enough to lead the way. There will be multiple cafés in the building, you can get some rest during the visit. It makes sense to pre-purchase tickets You mustn't take pictures of the artifacts in the exhibitions.

A beautiful museum with exceptional collections and perfectly labeled paintings and sculptures (though the French translations are missing)... not too crowded in the late morning. One downside: the food on the first floor was disappointing. No photography allowed, so I couldn't send any photos...

The signage and guidance for the individual artworks are very well done. It’s easy to find your way around. We were able to focus on specific pieces and skip others for a later visit. The rest areas scattered throughout the museum are a nice touch for taking a breather.

I loved it! I didn't have to wait in line at all; the museum staff was very friendly, and when you show your ticket, they scan it and let you in. It's great to buy tickets in advance here.
