Prado Art Museum was overwhelming with the sheer volume and size of the place and paintings. It was awe inspiring to be able to view such magnificent works up close and also to be introduced to artist new to me. I was especially moved by Antonio Gisbert painting of the group of men who were condemned. A wonderful first time visit.

Indeed, we were able to avoid some of the waiting in line. I still prefer to be able to print out my tickets, as I don't have internet access with my cell phone.

Hola! Haber comprado las entradas con antelación fue muy buena idea pero lo mejor es la sorpresa de encontrarnos la posibilidad de entrar cualquier otro día por la flexibilidad de la fecha. El primer intento... Hicimos una larga fila porque no estaba señalizado y la información nos la dieron personas de la misma fila resultando ser para comprar entradas físicas, otras dos filas para entrar y otra para verificar tickets, etc. Había otra fila para necesidades especiales para personas que no podían subir escaleras fácilmente pero esto claro había que hacer otra vez la fila, así que finalmente ya decidimos no entrar. Segundo intento, mucho mejor! Al tener ya las entradas nos permitieron entrar con mayor facilidad, sin tanta fila y con la lectura del código todo ok. Es de agradecer la flexibilidad de las entradas porque de lo contrario abríamos perdido el dinero y el tiempo. Considero que debe haber una mejor señalización teniendo en cuenta que las filas son largas y la información se encuentra en la zona de entrada. Ya en el interior directamente el ambiente es otro, todo limpio y ameno. Es agradable recorrer y observar cada sala, la información es clara y concisa, no agobia y se puede disfrutar de la visita tranquilamente. Importante reconocer que el personal del museo es muy atento. Sin duda repetiremos la visita ya que por tiempo no nos dió tiempo de terminar el recorrido. Gracias 😊Reserva número: 17505334)

I found the way of visiting very confusing. The rooms are very random. This format makes it difficult to see everything without having to walk around the same place you've already seen. You walk more and see less.

I could not access the guide because I did not understand that I had to download it. I also did not avoid the line because there were quite a lot of people. The good thing about the visit was the museum itself, it is wonderful. The museum staff is friendly and clear in the instructions.
