This widely acclaimed play is known for its unique take on the 75 years of King Henry VIII’s infamous marriages. The Story

The contemporary reinterpretation of King Henry VIII's six wives, transformed into divas, had its modest inception in 2017 during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was conceived by a group of Cambridge students with a deep passion for history. The inspiration for the show initially emerged in a poetry class. In preparation for the production, one member, Marlow, delved into Antonia Fraser's The Six Wives of Henry VIII, while another, Moss, immersed themselves in Lucy Worsley's documentary series, Six Wives, as part of their research.

The tickets arrived when stated and seats were confirmed. The tickets did not come by email as promised and I did have to pick up at box office. Pretty smooth over all. Theater and show was great!!!

The show was incredible! This is the second time I've seen it and I took my mother who hasn't been to London in many years! The cast and musicians and all involved backstage and lighting/sound deserve all the credit and amazing things! The six ladies are amazing and created such an amazing atmosphere! Catherine of aaragon was not there the last time I seen the show and she was absolutely incredible, as well as the understudy for Catherine Parr, who I had also not seen! The other four were even more amazing than last time! Booking the tickets was easy and thank you all for the amazing experience. My mum hasn't stopped talking about it all day!

great entertaining show. I was a bit worried that the tickets came just one- two days before the show- I like to have the tickets ready the moment i buy them so I felt a little anxious until recieved an email with the tickets.

We've seen six before and it was amazing. BUT this showing was decidedly average, the songs had been slightly adjusted to accommodate the singers voices and it just wasn't as good. Most of the six were - just ok but not impressive as previously. The speaking parts fell flat and that bit needs rewriting I think. Such a shame. I'm sorry but we didn't love any of it but if pushed we'd say wife no 1 and wife no 4 were the best performances.

Absolutely everything...the venue, the cast, the songs, the dancing, the costumes, the band, the story. A really great feel good show.
