Our guide Fariq was super friendly. The boat ride on Loch Ness is totally worth it, and the scenery is spectacular. That being said, the stop at Glencoe is only 5 minutes!! And of course, the bus ride from Edinburgh feels really long.

Seeing Highland cows and being on a boat in the middle of Loch Ness. The driver Stevie B was very entertaining and enthusiastic about what he does. Also very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and a great story teller. Looking at going back to some of the places we went to on the tour

The guide was great, energetic, and smiling from start to finish. She gave plenty of explanations and anecdotes, and her presence ensured the trip ran smoothly. However, nowhere under "included" did it say that we had to pay an extra £31 (on top of the £76 already paid) to visit the castle and go on the cruise, which is really the main highlight advertised for the tour. It wasn't clearly stated as being at our own expense like the glass of whisky was. On top of that, the famous "free time at Loch Ness to explore at your own pace" was practically non-existent... It's really a shame to drive all that way and hardly see anything of Loch Ness. As for the extra costs, you only find out once you're on the bus, and if you decide not to pay, you are dropped off either in a nearby village or at a hotel to wait for the rest of the group. If I had known it was going to be like that, and that the main highlights that made us choose this tour weren't included in the £76, we would have picked another one. In conclusion, the guide was very good, but the tour's organization and what is or isn't included were not. All in all, I came away from this tour quite disappointed, feeling like I wasted both my time and my money.

What to bring
