Instead of rushing from one exhibit to another, you naturally slow down and find yourself standing in front of the enormous central tank, completely mesmerized. I must have spent more time there than I planned—and I didn’t regret a single minute. What makes this place special isn’t just the impressive collection of marine life. It’s the feeling it creates. Peaceful, fascinating, and surprisingly emotional. You leave with a greater appreciation for our oceans and everything that lives beneath the surface. Watching the fish glide through those massive tanks, surrounded by that calm blue light, has a way of quieting your mind completely. The energy and atmosphere are unlike anywhere else I’ve been. There’s something almost meditative about walking through it, especially with the people you love beside you. We left feeling recharged in a way we didn’t expect. I first visited when it opened in 1998, and after all these years, it's still just as impressive. The exhibits are beautifully maintained and offer a fascinating glimpse into the underwater world. The massive central aquarium is the highlight. Every viewing window offers a completely different perspective, revealing new species and scenes each time you stop to look. It's a peaceful, immersive experience that's enjoyable for both kids and adults. Highly recommended if you're visiting Lisbon!

What an amazing place! I loved the numerous viewing platforms for the primary exhibit so that there was no overcrowding and so that I could see the exhibit from different levels and perspectives. The information cards on the walls were simple to read but extremely informative and in numerous languages! The route through the aquarium was well labelled with arrows and lights and useful to see every display. This was an amazing visit. Highly recommend!

An absolutely wonderful experience at the Lisbon Aquarium! 🐠🐟 The tanks are impressive, the species are diverse, and everything is beautifully showcased. It’s a feast for the eyes from start to finish. The large central aquarium is simply fascinating and lets you observe marine life from every angle. The cable car was also a real highlight: a superb view of the Parque das Nações, the Tagus River, and the surrounding area. A very enjoyable experience that perfectly rounds out the visit. I highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Lisbon!

There were problems at the box office that took a long time to resolve, as I didn't receive the code I needed to enter, but the money for my tickets was debited, so it took half an hour and was resolved through the aquarium box office, so I can't give it a high rating, but overall I liked it.

Great displays, lots to see but ok to do within 1.5 hrs which was plenty for my kids. The Sea Monsters exhibition was fun, the kids loved it. Rhe otters and Sea dragons were so cool! Also there was a big shark with crooked teeth that kept coming to the glass.
