This is a magical place where time stood still several centuries ago. And it is an example for us of how to value our lives, our comfort, our coziness, and our magical life.

Excellent service, quick efficient train service . Quite a walk from arrivals hall though so give yourself plenty of time as you can't change your ticket times.

Our tour was scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m., but it was postponed to 12:00 p.m. that same morning, and when we arrived at the meeting point, it turned out that we couldn’t start until 1:30 p.m.—on our own (without a guide)! To pass the time, we visited the Roman Forum and had to wait another 20 minutes before being allowed in. At the Colosseum, we had to wait in line for another 10 minutes, even though we had a time slot. The whole experience was a huge hassle, and we cannot recommend this tour operator at all!

Our flight was delayed by 30 minutes so by the time we got through a busy security we had missed our planned rail trip. It is a shame that these tickets could not be open to handle this situation. We were able to pay an additional 5 euro per ticket on the train to travel on the outdated tickets but this was an unnecessary stress after 42 hours of Travel from New Zealand.

Visiting the Colosseum was great experience however the instructions of the headout were incorrect and we run around the area few times before we understood what to do. When you have the tickets just go to the entrance and don't follow the instructions given.

    Colosseum

    The Glory of the Colosseum

The Colosseum is one of Italy’s most popular destinations, attracting over 5 million visitors every year. Believed to have been constructed as a gift from the ancient emperors to the Roman people, this grand outdoor amphitheater once served as the epicenter for entertainment, hosting various public spectacles and games. A stage for gladiator fights, often including animals, the Colosseum has quite a bloody past. Step back in time, marvel at the impressive architecture, and walk the floor of the greatest arena known to mankind.

Marvel at the Palatine Hill & Roman Forum

Your Colosseum ticket also includes entry to the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Head to the Roman Forum and travel back in time as you walk along the same paths as the ancient Romans did. You’ll get a chance to witness popular sites including the Temple of Antoninus Pius, the Temple of Castor and Pollux, the Temple of Saturn, the Arch of Septimius Severus, and much more. Palatine Hill offers one of the best views of the city. Once considered the most desirable neighborhood in Rome, Palatine Hill lives on an extensive archaeological site and was the chosen spot for Emperors to build their homes.

How To Avail Your Audio Guide

That’s right, your ticket comes along with a handy audio guide that will help navigate your way through the Roman attractions. Tune in to a digital audio guide from your smartphone - yes, it’s that easy. You’ll find an interactive map of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum. Walk around the venues and tap on the area you’re at and listen to commentary dedicated to that spot.

You’ll receive information on how to download the audio guide on your smartphone in an email once you’ve booked your tickets.
