Honestly, I didn’t expect to laugh sooo much on a bus tour, but our guide (shoutout to Kenji!) had jokes for days. My boyfriend and I loved the stop at the bamboo forest—even if it was pretty crowded. The AC on the bus was a LIFE SAVER, since Kyoto was like a sauna. Lunch was simple but tasty. Def recommend bringing a hat tho, sun’s no joke.

Went with my parents, and we all enjoyed it. The timing at each spot felt a bit rushed, but honestly you get to see soooo much—golden pavilion, gardens, some cool shrines. Wish we could have stayed longer at the market, I was just getting started sampling snacks! Guide was friendly and answered all my mom’s endless questions.

I was solo but never felt alone. The group was friendly, and the guide (Amy? Super sweet) made sure no one got left behind. She even carried an umbrella for us when it started to drizzle. Highlight for me was the surprise matcha stop—a tiny tea shop with the cutest cups. Bring comfy shoes, ur feet will thank you!

Eh, tour was OK. Guide was knowledgeable but bus got stuffy at times. Some stops felt a bit too touristy, especially the souvenir shop (felt like a trap tbh). But the garden walk was peaceful. Would probs choose a smaller group next time.

We booked as a family of four (kids 9 and 12). The guide made sure the kids stayed engaged with little quizzes and stories. The wildlife preserve was a hit with my son, who got to feed the deer. Only downside was a looong wait at one temple entrance. Bring snacks for the line!

This experience involves a lot of walking, and paths may be uneven. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women and guests with mobility issues.

The order of the itinerary and visits to certain attractions may be adjusted due to traffic and weather conditions.

Always carry your passport, important documents, and valuables with you, and keep them safe. Any loss, theft, or damage will be your responsibility.

You’ll also have 3 hours of free time to explore at your own pace.

Recommended: Walk from Kiyomizu Temple (tickets at own expense) through Nissanzaka and Ishibaka-koji, continue to Gion’s Hanami-koji, and finish at Yasaka Shrine. Guests can decide how much to cover based on their time and interest.

Shinsaibashi & Dotonbori (Approx. 1 hr, free time): End the day shopping in Shinsaibashi or trying local dishes such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki in Dotonbori.

Interested guests can put on a kimono and visit Kiyomizu Temple. You can choose to return the kimono at any of the many shops, including Kiyomizu Temple and Fushimi Inari Shrine. We recommend borrowing at Kiyomizu Temple and returning to Fushimi Inari. Please note: expenses are self-paid.
