Everything was great until we left. About 7 people from our tour group left the gift shop at the exit (it's in another building on the surface) and became lost and walked in circles because there was zero direction from anyone on the tour about where to go after you exit. No signs or anything. We eventually found someone who pointed us in the right direction but when we returned to the bus the driver/guide gave zero shits when we told him what happened. Everyone on the bus looked supremely annoyed by us which was great. Love that. We also sent multiple texts and messages to the guide and Hello Cracow while we were lost that went unanswered. If this happens to you, go to the right when you exit!! It's through the park.

Picked up on time and exactly where advised , waiting of others to arrive and join the tour group delayed it a bit but once we commenced we still got our full time for the tour , Our guide was lovely and provided lots of information about the mines , she did keep asking if we wanted to check it was salt or not to see who would lick the wall, all for good fun of course, Only tricky thing was when leaving you come out in a different location to where you started and myself and a couple form the same taxi didn't know where we were supposed to go , luckily I have google maps and we could make our way back , obviously not the tour operators fault as some more signage at the mine may help , unless we missed it of course

Une très bonne organisation : - message 24h avant pour affiner l'heure a laquelle vous devez être au point de rdv, le chauffeur était très agréable et à l'écoute (nous étiez 6 et nous avions un van privé) - le chauffeur s'occupe de nous donner nos billets et nous accompagne jusqu'au point de rencontre avec le guide - il nous informe également de où nous retrouvez après la visite - la visite quand à elle était très bien avec une guide qui prend son temps - il y a beaucoup de marche et de long couloir à arpenté prévoyez donc une bonne paire de chaussures ainsi que des vêtements confortables.

Buena organización en los traslados y entradas a la mina. Es la segunda ocasión que la visitamos con amigos diferentes. Hemos entrado por un lugar distinto que no disponia de ascensor para una persona con cierta limitación de movilidad confiando en que sería como la vez anterior que si se podia disponer de ascensor. Siempre ascensor para el descenso, la salida siempre se realiza en ascensor sin problemas.

Everything went smoothly: From the pickup point at the hotel to the end of the visit. The expert Italian guide lead us through the cave, providing a lot of funny details and interesting facts. The whole visit was less than 2 hours, but time flew. The driver was also excellent and on time. I'll recommend this.

What to bring

Bring comfortable shoes; there are 800 steps to climb, with 350 at the beginning descending into the mine.

Bring warm clothing, as the temperature underground ranges between 14°C and 16°C, even in summer.

Student ID is required for student tickets.

What’s not allowed

Baby strollers, baby carriages, and luggage or bags larger than 30 x 20 x 10 cm are not permitted inside the mine.

Smoking and the use of open fire in the mine are strictly forbidden.

Alcohol and drugs are not allowed.

Animals are not permitted in the mine. The mine does not offer animal shelters.

Accessibility

This experience is not suitable for people with mobility impairments or wheelchair users.

Not suitable for people with claustrophobia or heart problems.

Additional information

There are 800 steps to climb, with 350 at the beginning descending into the mine.

The start time may change due to the availability of guides in the museum; please check your plans accordingly.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour starts at the designated meeting point or in front of the UNESCO sign near the Salt Mine Museum.

For options with pickup, please wait in the hotel lobby by the reception desk or in front of the main entrance if there is no reception.
