Great tour, found booking online very easy and vey good value for money. Coach pick up points were communicated well and a good choice of locations to be collected from. Would definitely recommend this company! The tour guide when we got to the Salt mine was fabulous and all round great experience.

The negative only goes to the organisers. We booked two trips in a day, the first at 09:00 to salt mine and the second to the underground museum in Krakow. This should've given us enough time for a final days lunch between the two. However, Headout changed our time to 10:30 and trying to sort this out became a problem as they were not able to refund our second trip, despite the website saying it could, so we were possibly going to be be disappointed and out of pocket. This was th the second time they had changed our tour times, the one had changed from 09:30 to 05:30 so beware. That said our driver Damian was on time and helpful throughout and made sure we were in the right place at the right time. The salt mines were spectacular and really worth a visit. You can't help be amazed at what is underground in a mine.

Guide intéressant et marrant même si parfois l'impression d'aller trop vite de salle en salle. Le chauffeur était très bien également. 4 étoiles seulement parce que le titre est mensonger : il ne s'agit pas du tout d'un billet coupe-file. Néanmoins la queue n'est pas longue parce que les billets ont des horaires de passage

Pickup at hotel was convenient. Though the tour was way too crowded, and not spaced out enough. No real opportunity to ask questions or enjoy the stops. Felt like an assembly line of people just being ushered through non-stop.

Salt mine was very beautiful and impressive. Guide, who picked us up from the pick up point and took care of us whole trip was very professional and good. Salt mine guide was knowledgeable and spoke excellent english. She was very precise all the time, that everybody in the group is with her and nobody gets lost in the mine, which is vastly bigger than what we saw. I very much enjoyed whole experience and I absolutely recommend this tour for everyone. You can't go woring with Salt mine visit. Further, if you want a more special fridge magnet or a mug with a print that is not a generic one, check the souvenir kiosk outside salt mine. I got mine with a very reasonable price and certainly better deal than generic souvenir shop in the Kraków center.

The tour was well organised and conducted, but the whole experience didn't feel very authentic. Smooth well laid out tunnels could have been built yesterday and the halls felt like a movie set. Was missing the rough walls, uneven floors, low ceiling that would have made me feel like I was in a genuine mine. Overall interesting but a wee bit underwhelming.

What to bring

Bring comfortable shoes; there are 800 steps to climb, with 350 at the beginning descending into the mine.

Bring warm clothing, as the temperature underground ranges between 14°C and 16°C, even in summer.

Student ID is required for student tickets.

What’s not allowed

Baby strollers, baby carriages, and luggage or bags larger than 30 x 20 x 10 cm are not permitted inside the mine.

Smoking and the use of open fire in the mine are strictly forbidden.

Alcohol and drugs are not allowed.

Animals are not permitted in the mine. The mine does not offer animal shelters.

Accessibility

This experience is not suitable for people with mobility impairments or wheelchair users.

Not suitable for people with claustrophobia or heart problems.

Additional information

There are 800 steps to climb, with 350 at the beginning descending into the mine.

The start time may change due to the availability of guides in the museum; please check your plans accordingly.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour starts at the designated meeting point or in front of the UNESCO sign near the Salt Mine Museum.
