Michele was brilliant - really good delivery, constant flow of information. He engaged with questions, about the building materials and design for instance. It was so great that he did NOT waste time finding out or using our names, he did NOT endlessly apologise or make jokes at himself. But he was respectful, efficient - worked around other groups. I learnt so much about Pompei as a trading and business centre, the different lives and deaths of rich and poor.

La visita guiada a Pompeya con María Laura fue genial. Se nota que sabe muchísimo y que le gusta lo que hace. Nos explicó todo de una manera muy amena, con un montón de detalles y curiosidades, y además es simpática y muy agradable. Las tres horas se nos pasaron volando y, al terminar, nos quedamos con ganas de más. Sin duda, repetiríamos la visita con ella. ¡Gracias, María Laura, por hacernos disfrutar tanto de Pompeya! ❤️

We spent the most enjoyable few hours exploring Pompeii with our guide Teresa from Askos Tours, she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and as an archaeologist shared her vast and in depth knowledge of the ruins. We chose the tour that included the Villa de Misteria and it was well worth it !! I would highly recommend booking this tour as we would have found it quite challenging navigating Pompeii on our own. ☆☆☆☆☆

What to bring

A valid ID or passport is required for entry.

It’s recommended to wear comfortable shoes as this experience involves a fair amount of walking.

It is recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen and water. Flip-flops are not suitable.

Only small dogs on a leash can be brought inside the park. Guide dogs with a certificate are permitted.

Flash photography and tripods are allowed in this experience.

This tour is not recommended for travelers with mobility issues or impairments, because of challenging terrain.
