The story

Join sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to their curious new home in the countryside. Exploring their unfamiliar surroundings, they soon encounter a world of spirits, spritesand magical creatures. Maybe it was all a dream? Or perhaps they really are now friends with the giant, ancient protector of the forest named 'Totoro' and his friend the 'Catbus'.

This is THE most magical show I have ever seen. If you are wondering if you should buy tickets, don't wonder, buy them. This show is beautiful, full of heart and has the most incredible stage design I have ever seen. All performances are wonderful and I was hooked from the opening scene. In a world that can be so difficult, here you will find pure escapism.

Very good attitude from staff, though London was hot and humid. Our seats were in C29,28,27, Gillian Lynn theatre. Nice surroundings. Play at very good atamatronics, things moved about without being intrusive. I prefer musicals the lone singer was good. Actors were good, but no real standout stars. My children really enjoyed it though. They would see it again!

It was spectacular. The music, acting, quality of production and visual effects are top notch. One of the best west end shows. I had 2 children aged 9 and 5. They enjoyed every bit of it. I was enjoyable for the entire family. Very intertaining, funny, emotional. Immersive experience with an explosion of emotions. Worth every penny.

The stage sets were ingenious! As a Japanese person, I really appreciated how the songs were sung in both Japanese and English, adding the home feel as well as a sense of universality. The passions and joy of the cast were palpable. It made me tear up several times, which was completly unexpected. Thank you for the wonderful show!

Totoro was amazing!! Everything about it was fantastic. The puppets. The actors. The scenery. ALL OF IT. I am a huge fan of the movie so I was so curious as to how they were going to g to bring it to a stage. They succeeded with flying colors. I hope it comes to the US. IT WAS MAGICAL.

Suggested age for this show is 6+, but younger guests are welcome. The show will be quite long, quite loud in parts, and possibly scary for some younger children at times. Children need to occupy their own seats at all times throughout the performance. This production is not suitable for children under 4 years of age (including babes in arms).

Keep in mind, the theater is air-conditioned throughout the year and can get a bit chilly. Bring along a light jacket if needed.
