As a huge Totoro fan, I absolutely loved this show. It felt truly magical from beginning to end. The musicians were fantastic, the actors made the story feel so real, and the puppetry was incredible. Seeing Totoro come to life on stage was an unforgettable experience. I left with a big smile on my face and would recommend it to any Totoro fan.

Very few films are as difficult to bring to the stage as My Neighbor Totoro. Yet this production showed just how beautifully it can be done. The film’s unique atmosphere, the deep emotions it evokes, and its timeless storytelling were brought to life on stage in a way that made me feel as if I were experiencing them for the very first time. My sincere thanks to everyone involved. It was an unforgettable evening that will stay with me for a long time.

I had the chance to see the show whilst I was on personal leave in London, and it was such a brilliant experience. The venue itself was fantastic, and the performances were excellent across the board, with the live musicians adding so much to the atmosphere. Seeing the giant mechanical Totoro in person was a real highlight; completely immersive and genuinely unforgettable. A special memory from my time in London.

‘My Neighbour Totoro’ was the best theatre production I've ever seen. The set design was absolutely brilliant, with fantastic scene changes. A superb live orchestra and brilliant actors. It was produced with great care and attention to detail. There were also some really funny moments involving the extras. And the costumes (Totoro etc.) were brilliant. 10/10 I was smiling the whole time.

Visiting London from America, so this was an exciting opportunity to watch this show! In all honesty, I have watched a million productions in my life and this is by far the most amazing show I have ever seen. People might be turned away because it's a colorful and "child-friendly"; however, it has so much depth and beauty to it. Please watch it!!

The story

Join sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to their curious new home in the countryside. Exploring their unfamiliar surroundings, they soon encounter a world of spirits, spritesand magical creatures. Maybe it was all a dream? Or perhaps they really are now friends with the giant, ancient protector of the forest named 'Totoro' and his friend the 'Catbus'.

Suggested age for this show is 6+, but younger guests are welcome. The show will be quite long, quite loud in parts, and possibly scary for some younger children at times. Children need to occupy their own seats at all times throughout the performance. This production is not suitable for children under 4 years of age (including babes in arms).

Keep in mind, the theater is air-conditioned throughout the year and can get a bit chilly. Bring along a light jacket if needed.
